I just really love these gorgeous purple shoes that I sold and I must mention them in my Blog.  I will also give a little history on the shoe manufacturer below.

Golo Footwear is one of the oldest American shoe manufacturers still manufacturing shoes today. Established in 1915 by Eastern European immigrants, Golo initially designed and manufactured slippers in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. The company was known for experimenting with materials not traditionally used in footwear, such as cork, stretch fabrics, Gore-Tex for rainboots,[1] and clear lucite sandal wedges.[2] Golo also had the shoe industry's first African-American shoe designer, Donald Hubbard, creating the line throughout the 1970s.[3]

Perhaps best known for the famed go-go boot worn by Barbra Streisand in the 1960s, the boot was heralded for its new and innovating design, in part by being "bigger than an ordinary shoe, but smaller than a regular boot - as if a true boot had been lopped off before it grew to full height".[4] Golo boot and shoe designs graced the covers and pages of every fashion magazine from 1950 through the 1980s. The footwear was photographed by some of the most admired photographers in the fashion industry, including Helmut Newton,[5] Bert Stern,[6] Hiro,[7] and Richard Avedon.[8]

There are presently 22 Golo boots, shoes, and sandals in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, including an over-the-knee boot made of different-colored patent leather zip-on layers,[9] stretch patent leather boots designed for Jacques Tiffeau in 1967, and the iconic denim platform boots designed by Leila Larmon and Stephen Bruce.[10]
